UnderCover Boss Season Two Episode Four
Frontier Airlines
As the CEO of Frontier Airlines, in Season two, episode four of the UnderCover Boss reality show, I went undercover and monitored how employees handle their duties and the challenges they face in different sections. During the undercover work, I interacted with different workers in various departments (Dave, 2013). I will analyze two posts: “Aircraft Appearance Coordinator” and the Flight Attendant Post.”
Comparison and Job Analysis
The aircraft appearance coordinator at Frontier Airlines is tasked with the responsibility of maintaining the appearance of the aircraft by cleaning them, securing the aircraft interior, and restocking security searching. I met and interacted with Sue, the aircraft appearance coordinator at Frontier. The flight attendants, on the other hand, are airline employees tasked with the responsibility of ensuring the passengers are comfortable and safe. They respond to emergencies that may occur on the aircraft and ensures everyone complies with the federal aviation laws. During my work as an undercover boss, I met and interacted with Tui, a flight attendant.
Aircraft Appearance Coordinator Job Analysis
Job analysis entails collecting information concerning the work environment, responsibilities, skills, and duties of a particular job. A job specification is the frequent output of the analysis (Royer, 2010). The aircraft appearance coordinator is responsible for all the cleaning tasks, security searching, restocking, and driving vehicles in the ramp area. The cleaning tasks include trash removal, flight deck and vacuum cabin carpeting, moping lavatory and galley floors, cleaning of tray tables, seat cushions, and passenger service units among others. Finally, the stocking role entails ensuring the cabin has safety cads, airsick bags, service guides, and lavatory supplies. A person must have relevant academic and industrial qualifications to be appointed to the position. Some qualifications encompass a driver’s license, a high school or college diploma, a Customs and Border Protection Seal from the Homeland Security Department, effective communication skills, and computer proficiency.
Flight Attendant Position Job Analysis
Flight attendants perform some duties to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers in the airplane. Their duties and responsibilities include attending preflight briefings, providing an adequate supply of emergency equipment and refreshments, directing passengers in case of emergency, and administering first aid to passengers. Additionally, they serve and sometimes sell snacks, meals, and beverages and demonstrate the use of emergency and safety equipment to the passengers. Flight attendants are required to have at least a high school diploma. However, many employers prefer people with a degree in public relations, hospitality, and tourism or communications and some years (one or two) of experience.
Data Collection Method
I used two methods to collect data for the job analysis: job performance method and interviews. Job performance entails taking part in conducting different duties in the firm to collect data about a job (Royer, 2010). I performed the jobs in question and gained first-hand experiences regarding contextual factors of the jobs, such as physical hazards and social and emotional pressures. After performing the job together with the relevant employees, I interviewed the employees responsible for performing the tasks concerning their views and experiences.

According to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, established in 1964, it is illegal to discriminate job applicants and workers based on national origin, sex, religion, color, and race. The job descriptions above abide by this act because they only specify knowledge, skills, and experiences as the conditions for recruitment and not gender, color, or sex (Doyle, 2019). Besides, it complies with the Age Discrimination in Employment Act as it does not exclude people in specific age brackets. Additionally, the descriptions abide by the Pregnancy Discrimination Act because expectant citizens who meet the qualifications will be able to apply. The descriptions have not outlined any specifications that discourage people with disabilities from applying. Thus, it complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
