How to Write Artist Statement-Example

My work investigates the abstraction of human forms through the depiction of different human psyche parts. Different lines and planes are used to create an architectural structure suspended in negative space. Within this construct, figures find themselves in distorted and dismembered states. The results defy a specific narrative, and possible multiple interpretations can be deduced from my work. My work depicts human psyche as a collection of different distorted parts contrarily to many people who think it is one solid object.The mysterious nature of memory recollection is embodied in my work through the dismemberment of the human figure and placing the fragments in a non-figurative environment. My work extends beyond a specific narrative to represent collective experiences of the human psyche. Upon looking at my work keenly, one may develop emotional, perceptional or sensational reactions.  However, despite that, I have presented my work in a manner that may contribute mixture reactions from the viewers, the artwork itself changes what is seen as subconscious to conscious.  This artwork portrays psyche as the precious foundations meant for consciousness development.
My work involves portrayal of human psychology through abstraction of the figure. In fact, my work extends beyond a specific narrative to represent collective experiences of the human psyche. The results tend to depict that psyche is one the crucial major non-physical parts making up the human being.  In my work, I have used human psyche to serve two major functions. First, it emphasizes the importance psyche in the human body despite it being perceived as a hard disk. Secondly, it portrays psyche as the complex, distorted and sophisticated object but that represents the reality of the human body.
