Degree in Engineering Admission Essay
As the saying goes, ‘actions speak louder than words’ my interest in engineering did not just sprout from nowhere. I remember when I was a kid I would dismantle toys just to see how they were built. As I grew up I would borrow my father’s computer with the excuse that I wanted to play video games little did he know I had hidden motives. My intention was to know the science behind the multi-functioning of the computers. This is when I developed an interest in science and thereon physics was my favorite subject.
Throughout my time in school, I enjoyed tackling complicated science problems using both mathematical and scientific ideas. This is because I had a goal to achieve, to become a computer engineer one day. I was driven by goals and purpose. Therefore, I had to work hard to achieve my ambitions. I was curious about how different things worked and finding solutions to problems facing people across the globe. I looked at the solutions to some of the global problems such as connectivity, and I found engineering was the only answer.
My zeal to become an engineer is influenced by the desire to solve some of the day to day challenges facing the human society. I strongly believe with extensive engineering knowledge; I will be able to find explanations to some of the critical problems facing the world today. With enthusiasm and hard work, I believe my childhood dream of becoming a computer engineer will come to pass.
