An Assessment of Training: Chick-Fil-A

Chick-Fil-A is a fast-food retailing chain of restaurants that specializes in chicken sandwiches. The organization has franchises in Canada, the United Kingdom, and South Africa. Chick-Fil-A’s business strategy is grounded in excellent customer service and a simple menu. The firm has a board of directors that include the firm’s chief executive and five directors. The chief finance officer (CFO) and chief operations officer (COO) are second in command, followed by the marketing, legal, and human resources officers. The CFO handles the institution’s financial and accounting solutions, while the COO oversees the company’s innovations and new ventures, communications, and restaurant designs. I will train Chick-Fil-A’s managerial and supervisory bodies on how to revolutionize the firm’s existing HR practices using the Logic Model. After the training, I will use several instruments to assess if learning has occurred.

The goal of my training will be to enlighten Chick-Fil-A’s management on why HR should be included in C-Suite decision-making processes. My objectives will consist of assessing the organization’s existing HR conditions and how they can achieve a competitive advantage through the firm’s HR practices (Pilenzo, 2009).
